Pressotherapy
sequential compression, from the legs to the torso
Pneumatic boots compress the legs in successive segments, from foot to hip, then release. The cycle starts again for forty-five minutes. You do nothing: the device works and you lie down. A deep grounding treatment, designed as an immediate complement after an Innerdance vibratory journey or a therapeutic massage.
Heavy legs in the evening, a swollen feeling after a flight or a day spent standing, tissue that feels congested, hard calves the day after effort.
We are describing a sensation, not a medical outcome. Pressotherapy treats no condition and replaces no medical care. If your legs swell in an unusual or one-sided way, the right door is your doctor's, not ours.
Check. We go through the list of contraindications together, out loud, at every session. This is not a formality: a person's condition changes between appointments.
Settling in. You put on light clothing provided by the Maison, then the boots. We set the pressure with you over the first cycles, and it stays adjustable at any time.
The cycles. Compression from foot to hip, chamber after chamber, then a full release. You lie down; you can close your eyes, read or talk. Most people fall asleep.
Coming back. Boots off, a few minutes sitting, a glass of water. We ask you not to rush off: the lightness settles mostly in the quarter of an hour that follows.
Paid on site, by TWINT or in cash. No deposit on this format: please just let us know 24 hours ahead if something comes up.
- This is not a medical treatment. We make no diagnosis and treat no venous or lymphatic condition.
- This is not manual lymphatic drainage. The action is mechanical, set, and identical from one cycle to the next.
- This is not a slimming treatment. We promise no loss of centimetres, weight or cellulite.
- This is not covered by insurance, basic or complementary. The Maison's ASCA accreditation covers therapeutic massage, not device-based treatments.
Pressotherapy has real contraindications, some of them serious. Tell us your situation when you book. If in doubt we will decline the session rather than take a risk on your behalf.
- Deep vein thrombosis, current or recent phlebitis, pulmonary embolism.
- Decompensated heart failure, oedema of cardiac or renal origin.
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure.
- Active infection, fever, erysipelas, acute inflammation of a limb.
- Cancer under treatment: only with your oncologist's agreement.
- Pregnancy: we do not perform pressotherapy during pregnancy.
- Recent fracture, open wound, skin graft, extensive lesion on a limb.
- Severe neuropathy or loss of sensation in a limb.
This list is not exhaustive and does not replace medical advice. A leg that swells, feels hot or becomes painful on one side only should be seen by a doctor without delay.
Does it hurt?
No. The compression is firm, never tight enough to hurt. Intensity is set with you over the first cycles and can be changed at any point.
What do I wear?
Light, covering clothing provided by the Maison, worn under the boots. You are never left in your underwear.
How many sessions do I need?
One is enough for a one-off effect, after a flight or a long day standing. For a lasting feeling, a regular rhythm over a few weeks makes more sense than a single session.
Can I have a massage the same day?
Yes, in this order: massage first, pressotherapy after. The other way round is markedly less comfortable.
Why is this cheaper than your other treatments?
Because the session does not occupy a practitioner continuously: the device works, we set it and we watch over you. We designed it as a grounding complement, to be added just after an Innerdance vibratory journey or a therapeutic massage, rather than as a treatment on its own. The price reflects that role, not lesser attention.
